The Roboexotica is a festival, that is all about robots mixing cocktails. Several participants build their own cocktail robots and display it at the festival. Then the visitors of Roboexotica can then try out the different installations.
The goal with this project was to create a CI for the Roboexotica festival, that brings across the slightly nerdy but also playful character of the event. It was my task to create a style that conveys this feeling in a way that also feels unique and fresh. For the visuals I decided on a combination of a retrofuturistic and a classic comic book artstyle. With that in mind I designed and illustrated several different robots and also created a custom font. I really wanted to make this elements stand out and draw the viewers attention. The poster and flyers also include some elements that one would find on blueprints to further convey the playful DIY character of the festival.
